The Mediterranean garden L´Albarda in La Sella

The residential complex La Sella at only 5 kms. from the beaches of Denia and Jávea on the Costa Blanca, is well known for its perfect infrastructure and unique location next to the La Sella golf course offering stunning sea views. La Sella has become the first and second home for the most discerning clients. Promociones Denia, the promotors of La Sella and one of the most important real estate agencies presents you today another jewelry in the heart of La Sella: The Mediterranean garden L´Albarda.
This precious garden of 50.000 m2 which surrounds an impressive stately home belongs to the Enrique Montoliu Charity and is dedicated exclusively to autochthonous species of the Valencian Community which don´t need any watering except a bit of rain
Among this flora indigenous to this region which grows in various ecosystems are some rare endemism as the thyme linalol and many other threatened species.
For the Charity this garden is not only of great botanical value but also an example for all private garden owners to use autochthonous mediterranean plants due to their specific qualities of hardly needing any water and their capacity of revitalization.

The garden opens for the public each last Saturday of the month and there are guided tours in Spanish, English and German. The tour takes approx. 2 hours and costs 5€. You can register your visit through the Cultural Centre of Pedreguer, Tel. 966 456 200 (Monday to Friday: 10 – 12 am, 5 – 8 pm).
For appointments of larger groups the Charity can be contacted directly. Tel. 963 523 099 (Monday to Thursday: 10 am to 2 pm).
