The Swiss BMC racing team has presented its new team for the 2012 season to the European media. As location the team of Cadel Evans, winner of the Tour de France 2011, has chosen the Hotel Denia Marriott La Sella in Denia, Costa Blanca.
It´s the second time that the Resort La Sella located in the autonomous region of Alicante, Costa Blanca hosts the BMC team, that uses its installations for their winter preparations due to its special features, ideal for carrying through an intensive training programme.
This year the team of the Australian cyclist is reinforced by two stars of the cyclist scene: the Belgian Philippe Gilbert, a specialist in “classics”, and the Norwegian, Thor Hushovd, a sprinter with one of the mayor speed points of the international bunch.
With these two all-star incorporations and some more reinforcements of all kind, BMC has assembled a most competitive team to defend the yellow yersey at the Tour de France 2012 and strongly shine at the big appointments of the world cyclist calendar.
The Tour de France winner has again selected Denia to prepare the 2012 cyclist season. Cadel Evans says, “this year we have again selected the Denia Marriott hotel because it fulfills all the necessary requirements of our team. During the last winter season we were already here, and everything worked out perfectly, therefore on this occasion nothing has been changed. Furthermore, the weather has been excellent. I do like everything about Spain and Denia: the climate, people and its cured ham”.
