Denia´s Castle

Its emblematic location on a hill in the centre of Denia, Costa Blanca and very close to the Mediterranean sea compensates the visitor´s effort to ascend to the top with some outstanding views over the roofs and terraces of the old districts of Denia, the port and the natural park Montgó.
The Arabic design (11th to 12th century) of this castles is mixed with a lot of other styles and ancient Roman ruins. This is a great strength which has several campuses and defensive buildings.
The Governor´s Palace houses the Archaeological Museum of Denia.
