Being situated as it is in the heart of the Montgo Nature Reserve and being an integral part of it, La Sella Golf Resort, Denia enjoys all the peace and natural beauty of a protected area of great ecological value. The town centre of the coastal town and seaport of Denia – “ the jewel of the Costa Blanca” can be reached in under ten minutes.

Denia is a lively and thriving town all the year round and possesses a cosmopolitan air because of the large number of foreign residents who have set up home there over the years. It possesses numerous squares, has a fascinating historic old part of town with stately mansions and a charming fishermens´ quarters whose picturesque network of narrow cobbled streets provide the perfect setting for modern cosy bars, street cafes, terraced restaurants and shops. Denia also has an impressive castle at the top of a hill in the middle of the town which reveals a long and eventful history that breathes in every corner of the town. Denia is one of the most important ports on the Spanish coast and also provides regular ferry services to the Balearic Islands.

Denia is renowned for its excellent cuisine and fresh products and offers a wide and varied choice of restaurants, from the small and large typical restaurants serving local Mediterranean and national fare to the more international ones with their exotic menus. Seeing the fishing boats tie up in the harbour in the evenings, witnessing the auction of the fresh catch and later eating a plate of tasty shellfish or delicious striped prawns  proves it right why Denia´s slogan is: “ Denia, you know how to enjoy life ! ”

Those of you who love shopping will find in Denia a select choice of shops and boutiques scattered around both the new part of town and the lovely old part of town, as well as innumerable coffee shops, bodegas and bars. Within easy reach of the town is to be found a huge new shopping complex which includes a wide choice of food and clothes chain stores, a hypermarket and a multiscreen cinema.

One of the main attractions of Denia is the wide choice of Entertainment it offers. Not for nothing is it renowned for being the town in Spain with the most fiesta days, most of which have a traditional background such as “the Fallas” or “the Moors and Christians” fiestas with their impressive parades and fireworks. In summer many musical and cultural events are heldheld, such as regular open air jazz, folk and rock concerts.

Denia´s nightlife offers good entertainment, too, mainly in the bars and clubs in the centre of town. However, during the day or at nightfall, Denia´s “Nueva Marina”, a yacht station and home to hundreds of luxury yachts, protruding like an island of leisure out into the sea, is a wonderful place to visit, not only to view the yachts, but also to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of its open-air leisure complex with its modern bars and restaurants. You can sit here on their open terraces and listen to live music or enjoy the spectacular views of a sunset over the sea or nice views of Denia´s harbour and castle.
